The goal is to make it easy for a potential buyer to see the house as their future home.
Pack up personal photographies and excess of decorations. The goal is to make the buyers imagine the home decorated with their own photographs, furniture, and art objects. Depersonalizing your home makes a huge difference when selling; Less things they see, less distraction they will experience
____________
Declutter Your House
Almost all home looks bigger with less furnitures. Start by filtering the items that you don’t want anymore. If you haven’t touched them is years they might just not be very important anymore!
Then, take off all unusual object that are laying around. You can boxed them up and put them in a storage room while the selling process.
Also, remove books from bookcases and other knickknacks, and clean everything off your kitchen counters. Essential items that you use daily can be tucked away in small boxes that you can place in a closet when they're not in use. Consider this process an efficient start to your packing.
- You can consider handing out items in a useful way by donating them to a charity or nonprofit organization such as the Salvation Army or Goodwill.
TIPS : Consider renting a storage unit if you have too many boxes and haven’t decided where you will bring them.

Painting the Interior
I suggest repainting your walls for a soft neutral colour, if you haven't painted in a while. I always suggest to my clients a white colour since it is very clean and it never gets outdated! Painting is an inexpensive way of staging your home and to make it more attractive to buyer's.
