Resumption of real estate brokerage activities for transactions deemed priority

As of April 20th the Quebec government authorized the resumption of priority real estate transactions, that is to say, those already in progress and whose possession date is scheduled for July 31st, 2020 at the latest or with the intent to relocate by July 31st, 2020.
New listings are authorised but strictly virtually for the time being.
The Organisme d’autorégulation du courtage immobilier du Québec (OACIQ) therefore informed “all Quebec real estate brokers of the hygiene measures to be taken and the rules to be respected in order to carry out the real estate transactions which must be accomplished by July 31st, 2020.”
“This measure also includes pre-purchase inspections, as well as the services of land surveyors and chartered appraisers during this same period.”
